Our Services
At Leddy Interiors, we offer a comprehensive design process, beginning with an initial meeting with principal designer Georgie Leddy. After project needs and a design direction are established, we will curate each room carefully. Our team will order all selections and coordinate installations. Learn more about each step of our process below.
The Design Process
-
The first step is to have an initial meeting with Georgie to thoroughly discuss your needs and preferences, preferably held on-site for a more detailed understanding. This is the time to discuss any goals, budget, timeline, concerns, etc. Inspiration pictures or descriptions are always helpful at this stage!
-
After confirming we are a good fit for each other, we will prepare a Design Agreement. This serves as our legal contract, but also provides a detailed discussion of what we can expect from each other. This is where a specific description of our services will be listed, as well as a pricing breakdown and expectations. This formalizes our partnership!
-
Before any design can begin, we will need an accurate and precise site measurement of your existing house. This measurement, combined with photo documentation, allows us to create an "Existing Conditions Model" of your home, which we can refer to throughout the project.
-
The first presentation to you will be during a Conceptual Design Meeting. This stage ensures that we are on the right track with our design so far. We will begin to present specific furniture and fabric schemes, but much of this meeting will be communicated through inspiration images, 3D renderings and verbal descriptions. After this meeting, we hope to have a clear direction and plan for the future: the scope should be understood, color palettes should be established, and core furniture selections may be selected to guide detailed design decisions.
-
The next phase is Detailed Design, which involves finalizing design decisions, preparing accurate pricing and presenting a formal proposal. This stage may also include the participation of contractors if applicable. We will reach out to installers to get estimates and lead times.
-
The final steps are purchasing and installing. Once any construction items are completed, our team will order, track, and deliver all furniture, fabrics, wall treatments and accessories. The professional install culminates with an exciting big reveal. Our job is finished once all issues are resolved, and the client is completely happy with every aspect of the design.
Q&A
Q: What differentiates you from other designers?
A: With over 20 years of experience, we have partnered with hundreds of vendors, leveraging these relationships to provide exclusive access for our clients. We aim to provide a completely unique and curated design that cannot be achieved with stock furniture solutions.
Q: Do you handle the purchasing and installation of furniture and accessories?
A: We carefully identify, source, and curate one-of-a-kind furniture, fabrics, finishes, and accessories that align with your unique lifestyle, budget, and preferred design aesthetic. Our team meticulously manages the procurement, tracking, and installation of all selected items to prepare for an accessorized, impressive reveal of your beautifully transformed space. We work closely with contractors, installers, and fabricators to guarantee the highest quality execution of our design vision.
Q. How do you charge for your services?
A. Depends on the project and intensity of renovation... Typically we charge a flat design fee calculated based on the SF of the rooms we are working in, considering the level of work being done in each space. Decorating with furniture will have a different price per SF than a room with any construction scope. When sourcing furniture through vendors that we have trade accounts with, items will always be priced at or below retail, plus any applicable shipping fees.
We accept wire transfers, check, or Credit card, although all CC will have a 3.75% processing fee.
Q. Do you have contractors and tradespeople that you can recommend?
A. Depending on the location of the project, we likely have a preestablished network of builders and tradespeople that we can work with. If we are outside of our typical working location or our existing connections cannot take on the project for whatever reason, we can aid you in the process of finding the right contractor for your job. A design is only as good as the people bringing that design to life!
Q. What can I expect during the initial consultation?
A. This meeting is designed for Georgie to learn about the needs and goals of the project. Georgie wants to see how your house functions for your family, what areas feel chaotic, and what rooms feel under appreciated. There is no need to excessively clean or prepare for this, just show up with honesty and excitement!
